UK Masters Spring Season: Week 2 Predictions

After a first week full of action and surprise, we turn our attentions to the second week of Multiplay’s UK Masters League. The league is formed of eight teams who play each other over three week days and play in a Best-Of-Two series. The league has £15,000 up for grabs and will see two teams head to Multiplay’s insomnia series to compete in a Best-Of-Five Finals on the Friday of the event.

Farewell uFrag

Earlier this week the sad news of uFrag’s departure from the UK esports scene was announced.

It’s with a heavy heart we say farewell to uFrag as an organisation. Having represented UK esports at events as far back as i53 in late 2014, they had grown to become a household name for UK esports fans and a staple of events.

The original news was posted on the uFrag website. Here’s what Elliot ‘Sed’ Brown, founder of uFrag, had to say;

UKGT rearrange offline finals

UKGT have announced that the offline finals for the first season will be changing both date and location. For reasons both public and private, it will no longer be held at the Centre:MK but rather at the Royal Spa Centre, Leamington Spa.

UKGT had this to say;

“We are changing our offline final, I won’t go into detail behind the reasoning but it’s not been as feasible hosting a Esports event in march in a shopping centre, H&S / PEGI18 issues etc etc. So for our first event we are moving it to a Theatre in Leamington Spa, offering teams a player back stage area, a proper stage with a seated crowd of 660 people.
