With the Intel Extreme Masters holding their World Championships in Katowice, with the finals on 4th March, ESL UK have partnered up with broadcasting company CinEvents to bring the Grand Finals to thirteen cinemas in the UK. As part of this, we’re also hosting a giveaway for a pair of tickets for one of the cinemas in partnership with ESL UK and CinEvents – more on that later.

ESL UK have stated one of their main aims with the Premiership is to help support grass-roots UK esports. Today, they have gone one step further in this goal by hosting a boot-camp for two CS:GO teams at their venue.
The two teams invited for the event are Team Endpoint and Impulse Gaming, who’ll be attending the venue for three days. Over the 6th-8th February, the squads will play out their ESL Premiership league game on the Monday before focusing on the boot-camp the rest of the days.
This will be the first time George “HudzG” Hoskins will line-up in person with his Team Endpoint colleagues.

So for anyone involved in the qualifiers for The ESL Premiership since Monday, you’d have noticed issues with with taking part. From server issues, to seeds, to delays and then format changes. It’s been a rough ride. So, I headed to the top and asked Will Attwood, Product Manager for ESL UK, what was going on.
Hyph is one of the top 16 seeded teams, with many assuming they’d be doing fairly well as competitors as they feature the likes of Tom “vertigo” Rockliffe, Roger “paynt” Paynter and Adam “ALIG” Robinson-Witts. That was until the latter player didn’t turn up to LAN.
Such an event caused hyph to head to one of the many “Free-Agents” at LAN. The player in question was, reportedly, a “Single AK” rank in matchmaking.
