UKCSGO managed to grab G2 eSports AWP player Edouard “SmithZz” Dubourdeaux after the second day at ECS after they’d just beat Liquid and NiP 2-0 to ask him a few questions about his experience at ECS
So you lost your first game to Team Liquid but managed to come back after that defeating them and NiP 2-0 to make it to the semi finals, walk us through your feelings.
After NiP we were super great, and happy. After Liquid we watched the map, noticed anti-strats, they played super great. Today we played cobble again, lost unforturnately played well and on lots of clutches. but after that we played dust2, nuke was a really good map. they came back in nuke like cobble but we kept them down.
You face fnatic tomorrow, what are your feelings on that?
Feeling good, last time we played we had a good matchup against them, we like their playstyle. Olof is back but we’re not too worried, wenton played well so playing their style and they’ll want revenge for sure
You’re pretty confident then?
Of course. last time we beat them 2-0, we’ll try the same tomorrow
This is the UK’s largest tournament for a while, how’s the atmosphere?
Everything’s good, booth is good soundproof is perfect. crowd is good hopefully there will be more people tomorrow so that it will be more awesome
better than an iseries then?
Yeah. yeah *laughter*.
