by Archive

This past weekend saw the 4 best teams of the ESL Premiership come head to head in the grand final for the summer season. This saw Infused, Choke Gaming, XENEX and United Estonia Smash play off in London at MCM Comic Con.

Game one saw Infused gaming play off against Choke gaming playing all three maps with Choke taking the first Map on Dust 2 but failing to capitalise and losing on both Inferno and Mirage allowing Infused to take the first game and go for the finals. With Infused waiting for the winner XENNEX and UESmash played it out for the 2nd match of the day. This game only went 2 games with UESmash managing to take the first game on Cache and continue the roll into taking the win in 2 on Dust 2.

Finally the grand finals, UE Smash, the Estonian mix team against one of the UK Powerhouse teams in Team Infused. Starting the grand finals off was Cobblestone, with Infused taking a dominant win and not dropping a single round to UE on the second half of the map. For the second map they played Cache, with UE playing a strong first half taking it with 10 rounds and finishing the map with 16 – 2. For the 3rd match of the series it went to Mirage, with a closer map than the previous 2 but still ending as a 16:12 win for UE. For the final map of the series it went to Overpass, with the closing map of the series ending with a 16:14 win and UE taking the victory with a 3 – 1 finish in the finals.
