ESL Premiership Finals Teams confirmed

by Archive

The ESL Premiership has finished, and after seven weeks of exciting action we have the two teams competing for the final.

With the final online games being played on Monday, it was a decisive end. With FM eSports and fish123 being the top teams, and playing against each other, only a win would guarantee either of them passage to the LAN finals in Leicester. The first map went strongly in favour of FM, as they won Mirage 16-6. The second map was another quick win for FM, taking Cobblestone 16:2.

With FM guaranteed to the finals, who would be the side they face? exceL set out to try and make sure it was them. As only a 2:0 series win would guarantee them entry to Leicester, they had to avoid an upset from ROYALS UK. This plan was lost almost straight away, as they went down on Dust 2 9:6 at the half, before losing the game 16:11 to ROYALS. This left them playing a game that essentially meant nothing but pride, as they could no longer qualify for the finals. With them winning Train 16:13, they evened the series out at 1:1.

With rumours that MnM Gaming are set to pick up fish123, it would appear that this match-up would be another attempt from the organisation to reclaim their Summer 2016 title, that they claimed from MCM ComicCon in October. With a Best-of-Five series on the line, there’ll be a lot of CS:GO on offer on March 18th.

The prize pool for the finals is £4,500, split into:

First:  £3,000
Second: £1,500

Don’t forget, we at UKCSGO.com are giving away two tickets for The ESL Premiership. All you need to do is enter it here. For those who don’t want to take that chance, however, the option of buying a ticket for £5 is available over here.
