FM-eSports return to CS:GO

by Archive

FM have made the return to the UK Counter Strike scene today after a long stretch of not having a Counter Strike team. The last time that FM held a CS team was back in the first season of EPS. They have announced that they have picked up the EX-Choke line up that came 3rd/4th at EPS after what was clearly a very dramatic weekend.

FM – Esports line up stands as –

Ian “Immi” Harding
Mike “Powell” Powell
Benjamin “Esio” Doughty
Max “Mightymax” Heath
Joe “Joee” Leigh

Ian “Immi” Harding had the following to say on the move:

Today we can announce that we will be joining the fm-eSports organisation.

After having issues at past events which resulted in leaving our previous organisation, we are very pleased to be joining such a respected and established organisation such as FM eSports. We would like to thank Yakkkkkk and the FM Management for giving us the chance to represent them. After having dealings with Yakkkkkk in the past, we can see he has a deep passion and interest in supporting us and helping us to reach our full potential.

Under the FM Brand, we are hoping that we can continue to improve and look forward to the upcoming iSeries where we will be hoping to take home the win under our new home.

Darren “Yakkkkkk” Ball also added:

“To quote Odyssey (the group not Homer’s poem) I’m “Zippin’ up my boots, goin’ back to my roots. To the place of my birth, back down to Earth” In recent months we’ve been doing a lot of less obvious work to try develop the community side of fm-eSports with the addition of a shed load of public servers and a re-evaluation of our teams. For a long time (some would say too long) we have tried to tinker with the same circle of players to find that elusive stable team but with limited success, so we have thrown out the drawing board and looked back at our own distant history to find our new starting point, we were looking for a team of keen, talented and ambitious players, hungry for a chance to prove themselves in the UK scene and with one eye set on progressing on to European events. While at MCM in London we got talking with a couple of the guys that were there representing Choke and they mentioned that after the event they would be looking for a new organisation to represent. Since that 1st contact we have had several conversations and it quickly become apparent that they have the determination to match the ability and as the new fm-eSports CS:GO squad we will be doing everything we can to aid this progression.”

The team will be next seen in action at insomnia 56 during the 11th to 14th of December at the Birmingham NEC. Stayed tuned to UKCSGO.com for future updates on the UK CS:GO scene.
