insomnia56: CeX -v- onlineBOTS

by Archive

In the final game of the Upper Bracket Quarter-Finals at insomnia56, it was between the CeX team (of 100% bonus fame), facing up against the Estonian onlineBOTS.

The first map was Dust2, and it appeared to be a pretty good going for the computing company as they managed to pretty much roll on through their Estonian counterparts as they took the first map 16-5, not letting the side who make up the majority of the ESL UK winning United Estonia put them down first. This should’ve given them the momentum to further the game on.

But the Second map was a complete reversal, with Cache being the map of the Estonians. They came straight back from being decimated in the first map to becoming the decimators, finishing the map up 16-5, giving not too much of a sense of where the final map would end it.

CeX would have to work hard to stay in the upper bracket

That final map was Mirage, which was an interesting map. It was a close affair, as the half and final scores were close enough. onlineBOTS took the game first to 15-13, but it wasn’t long until CeX stuck in and tried to continue forward and even it up, which they did at 15-15. Taking it to overtime, the onlineBOTS pushed through and managed to take the half of the OT 19-17, before rolling to the final score 21-17. onlineBOTS took the series 2-1 and continued on through the Upper Bracket, set to play against Team Infused next.
