PhoenixUK returns on Sunday evening

by Archive

After a few weeks break, due to insomnia57, and the CS:GO Major last weekend. PhoenixUK will return to the epic.LAN Stream Team this Sunday evening. It’s going to be a rather heavy show this weekend, as with insomnia57, the post LAN Shuffles, and the consistent flux of the UK Scene recently, we will be covering as many topics as possible.

In our previous show on Sunday 20th March, we spoke about all our predictions into insomnia57. We had a couple of players on the show talking to us about their hopes and aspirations. There was a lot of interest in how the CS:GO Tournament would go, and it didn’t disappoint.

This week’s show will see us go a little longer due to missing last week, so we have extended our current time from 5pm – 8pm just for this week, as with all the various topics and roster shuffles are going to take time to go over. We will cover insomnia57 in greater detail, if one of our potential guests confirm, you may see a potential interview with one of the team captains in CS:GO who went around and caused a few upsets over that particular weekend. We will also cover ESL UK Premiership LoL Finals, the Promotions Tournament for CS:GO and many other Dota2 related things as well.

This will be the second show (online) where we will have guests, as standard, you should see our usual delightful panel who will give their views on what happened at insomnia57, what the fall out was, how the UK eSports scene is shaping now, and whether League Of Legends really deserves more money invested into the scene despite dwindling numbers.

The guests will be open to questions from the public, either through our dedicated hash tag on Twitter (#PhoenixUK) or on Twitch chat for the duration of the show. Our panel this week returns with Michael “MiCk” Hartley who from what I have been told wants to be a proper “eSports Panelist”, not just “LoL”.  We also have long time Dota2 player/caster/supporter and epic.LAN’s own host on the Central Stream, who will be doing purely production, but we may rope the Big Dill himself into talking eSports sometimes.

Regular Panel

Tom “Gumpster” Gumbleton – Visual Host
Joe “JoeShow” Styrka – Stream Production
Michael “MiCk” Hartley – eSports Panelist

Special Guests

Michael “Duck” Moriarty – UKCSGO.com Journalist
Liam “DOOPZ” Whitehead – Dota2 Team Senses Captain
Possibility of another CS:GO related guest, yet to be confirmed
