BLAST has unveiled the broadcast talent ahead of the Paris RMR’s this weekend. Seven UK talents are featured in the European RMRs, including the well known duo of Harry “JustHarry” Russell and Hugo “Hugo” Byron, as well as Adam “dinko” Hawthorne, Neo “Ne0kai” Caine, Jack “Jacky” Peters, Alex “hawka” Hawkins and a fresh face in the form of Kyle “CodyCasts” Mullings. Another British talent, Michael “YouM3” Cassidy will also be seen as part of the Asian RMR Broadcast, bringing the total number to eight.
With the recent announcement of CS2, it is already known that the BLAST.tv Paris Major will be the last CS:GO major to take place. The RMR tournaments will determine which teams will be playing on the biggest stage of Tier-1 CS:GO for the last time before the transition to CS2. The RMRs are slated to start from 6th of April and end by the 15th.
In terms of player/coach participation, the two British teams Into the Breach and Viperio will be in attendance. As well as this, William “mezii” Merriman and Jamie “keita” Hall, who are a part of fnatic, and Ashley “ash” Battye, the coach for GamerLegion, will be representing the UK in the European RMR. This brings the total number of players representing the UK to twelve, the highest ever for a Major qualifying tournament in the history of CS:GO.
In total, the European RMR has nine people at its helm compared to six for the American RMR and four for the Asian RMR. The individuals are expected to seamlessly change and manage casting, analysis and interviewing on the broadcasts.
The BLAST.tv RMR is turning out to be a must watch for every UKCS fan. Is this the year we will finally see a UK team qualify to the major? Only time will tell. The full talent lineup for BLAST.tv RMR is as follows:
