If you have been watching ESL Premiership Spring 2023 you have probably noticed some new team names, this is because two organisations have picked up a CS:GO team with a British core.
Next in Line was founded in August 2022 by William “Wylch” Price and Gareth “Whale” Gallivan, and originally fielded a Hungarian CS:GO team, however this iteration of the team only lasted until late 2022, when the roster was released. After that the organisation had multiple Open level rosters play under its banner, but struggled finding one “that really fits”, according to founder Wylch. It wasn’t until they picked up most of the former Made in Kettering roster, aside from William “wfn” Maskrey, who was succeeded by Finnish player Kasper “Kappe” Lampinen, that the organisation felt they had found that right fit.
Speaking to UKCSGO, founder Wylch stated that: “We have grown at a fantastic rate and cannot wait to branch out more into UK CS:GO and more esport scenes.”
Next in Line isn’t the only new organisation in town though. Headquarted in South Korea, Bearclaw have secured the signatures of the former Heaven & Hell roster. The organisation, which had previously competed in Overwatch, PUBG, League of Legends, and VALORANT, is venturing into Counter-Strike for the first time with this pickup.
