MOUZ were greeted with boos when they walked down the illuminated steps of the OVO Wembley Arena prior to their game versus M80. The cheers that M80 received almost looked like they were enough on map two to propel M80 to a win. But MOUZ did not falter, thanks in part to star AWPer Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás shone.
Dropping a 1.16 HLTV 3.0 Rating and plenty of impact on that AWP, torzsi shone in that best-of-3 and helped take MOUZ to the win they were after.
Chatting to UKCSGO, torzsi talks about not being the crowd favourite, the slip-up on map two and their hopes for the title here in London.
First game here in London, first win on the stage, how are you feeling after that win?
I feel pretty good. Not the best win, but a win is a win. We struggled a little bit on Mirage, but yeah, a win is a win, and I’m happy to go for tomorrow.

Today, you weren’t the favourite of the crowd, and probably again tomorrow as you’re up against mezii. How are you feeling about being the villains here in London?
We were a little bit surprised that they were booing us, and then we realised their coach is UK. We just didn’t expect it at first, but tomorrow we are going to play against Vitality, so mezii. The crowd is going to cheer for vitality, but I don’t think it really affects us that they boo us. Also, in the game, we didn’t really feel like that they were against us, the fans. They were cheering for good Counter-Strike, you know?
The second map didn’t go quite as you planned, but you then managed to build into it towards the end. Then, for the next map, you were able to carry that momentum on. What was the mentality like in your camp as the momentum wasn’t really going your way?
On the second map, we were making some mistakes, and we were getting punished for it. I think they played pretty good, they had some ideas on how they wanted to punish us, and it worked for them. We played all the buy rounds four on five, we got entried, I got entried a few times, and it was not the best for us.
After the second game, we thought that we maybe should not focus on the bad stuff because I think the entries were getting in our heads on Mirage. We just tried to focus on the positive stuff for Inferno, and we also started on the right foot, so it was nice.

Tomorrow, you’re up against Vitality, and they’re in a bit of a weakened state at the moment. Do you feel like you can go all the way at this tournament and take the trophy?
Yeah, I feel like we have a good shot, and maybe Vitality is not in the best form. But still, we need to step up because they are a really good team. We need to play better tomorrow if we want to win.
