Ballistix UK Masters Qualifier

The online qualifier for the Ballistix UK Masters has opened for business today! A gathering of UK teams are about to clash in a head-to-head fight for a seeded top 8 position in the main event.

24 Teams have signed up for the qualifiers. Some of the teams are familiar faces to anyone who keeps track of the UK’s domestic LAN tournaments, notably fish123 (AaroN, keita, b3n, REAZN, robiin) and uFrag.

It’s not just these two teams who are fighting for the top spots, however, and there are a number of players spread amongst the junior teams and mixes who have real potential to do well in these qualifiers, ones to watch are definitely CAZ Red (with our very own fLk), FunMix (feat cthreestar of TPO.eSports), IGI eSports (fresh from their success in the i57 intermediates) and “Fat Geeks eSports“, a team featuring a number of relatively well known players from the domestic scene such as KRBY and JakeKav.
These teams will be playing a single elimination series over the course of the day in order to determine their positions heading into the next stage.

The top teams that progress will have a chance to prove themselves, and hopefully we’ll see some great games and results come from it, especially from the generally less highlighted teams in the UK scene who don’t get nearly as much exposure as they should, and smaller online events such as these are a great platform for such teams and organisations to get a foothold, not only within the scene but to also promote themselves as a team.
