CAZ eSports recently picked up a European lineup after losing their UK team in the middle of Feburary. On top of this recent signing, CAZ have announced that they have also picked up a second CSGO team. This second team is named CAZ Academy and is a team of skilled young players from around the UK. The organization is aiming to give them a chance in the competitive scene by having the backing and support of a respected organisation and is aiming to give them a platform to further themselves.
The COO of CAZ eSports, Ben Bagg, has released a statement about this Academy team:
“For a long time I have had a vision of building up players from their beginnings and helping them develop into future professional players. Now that CAZ have grown to the point where we have the resources to finally have home grown talent it was a no brainer to start now! We are looking forward to seeing these lads grow as players and are excited to see what becomes of this new project.”
The CAZ Academy lineup consists of:
Ryan “fLK” Oliver
Leon “SarcasM” Haider
Ashley “ash” Powell
Jack “snow” Evans
Michael “brock” Brockwell
Ryan “fLK” Oliver, the team captain and in-game leader of the squad had this to say on the recent announcement:
It’s great to be working with CAZ, being a part of the Academy will be an excellent opportunity. Hopefully with this roster, utilising the added support we now have from the organisation, we’ll push to be a successful team within the UK, hoping to branch out to Europe. With all things, it will take time which is why we’re thankful that CAZ are in this for the long run and not simply pushing for fast results. We are extremely excited to be working with fantastic management that will enable us as players to progress in eSports. A big shout out to both Ben and Eren from CAZ as well as all of CAZ’s sponsors for working to support us. Looking forward to the future!
CAZ also announced with this that they will have a second CAZ Academy team where they will be hosting open tryouts for anyone who thinks they have the skill and dedication to improve themselves.
