Cai “CYPHER” Watson finds himself back on a team again following his departure from UNPAID. The organisation BC.Game has picked up the aggressive British rifler which sees him reunite with three more players that played together on BLEED. Nemanja “Nexa” Isaković joins at the same time to link up with Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostd and Tim “nawwk” Jonasson which forms 4/5ths of the BLEED and UNPAID core. They will join longstanding BC.Game member Luca “pr1metapz”
Voigt who has been on the roster since its creation.
During the end of 2024 BC.Game also made moves to improve their roster as they signed Danish coach Benjamin “cube” Stabell to replace Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács.
The BLEED ordeal saw the roster that became UNPAID, before they went their separate ways, left not just without an organisation but also without salaries. The UNPAID roster, with the core of Jkaem, nawwk and CYPHER only competed in RES Regional champions where they placed second, falling to Nemiga in a 2-1 grand final.
Since the RES Regional champions CYPHER has been left teamless but that didn’t see the British rifler completely out of action. The major semifinalist returned to the grassroots scene back in October of last year to compete at the 43rd iteration of EPIC.LAN where he played with the Verdant FE roster consisting of other UK talents, notably Current Monte IGL Jack “Gizmy” von Spreckelson. According to Finn “Mischief” Farrer’s statistics sheet CYPHER dropped an impressive 1.44 rating at the UK LAN event propelling the Verdant FE side to a second-place finish behind the true Verdant roster.
Importantly, the UNPAID trio brings a boost to the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) rank of BC.Game. This double addition improves BC.Game’s position by 24 places from 69th to 45th. In the midst of tier 2 teams struggling to gain ranking points forcing them to close down and cease Counter-Strike operations, these much-needed VRS points. Now because of their boosted ranking, this offers BC.Game an opportunity to remain competitive and within the invitation zone of many tier 2 tournaments.
If BC.Game wants to strive for the BLAST.TV Austin Major in June they will have to see some results coming quickly. This new roster has already found success in qualifying for the RES Showdown 1 Closed Qualifier from the West European Open Qualifier. Within this CQ they have taken the opportunity as they stand one win away from advancing to RES Showdown 1: BLAST Premier Rising after beating SAW and 500.
