Dripmen reach Last Resort, leave org, rebuild

The now orgless team sees two familiar faces return accompanied by a new name.

by Tom Coles

The Dripmen tag created by Fraser “frazehh” Sollom has returned.

The much-storied UK player retired in 2023 but re-emerged last year playing with long-standing compatriots Jack “DeXteR” Hepple and Joshua “JAUSTERE” Philpott among others. They parted ways with Richard “Zulu” Wood in favour of Connor “Bigun007” Suddons from The Last Resort, and signed with the long-standing organisation for the most recent seasons of ESEA, EPICLAN and UKIC. To complete the roster heading into last season they picked up Kirk “Tadpole” Stephens.

Unfortunately, the results were mediocre. Having made playoffs of UKIC Division 1 orgless, they finished 7th in the league for season 5, avoiding relegation but not troubling the playoffs. In ESEA the squad raced to an 8-2 record but missed play-offs following four straight defeats. And at EPICLAN 44, where teams like 8Sins rejuvenated their seasons, The Last Resort finished in 7th-8th place losing to surprise package CTRL ALT DEFEAT.

The Dripmen return

After a disappointing season, The Last Resort have parted ways with their roster. The organisation stated on X:

We’ve decided to part ways with our CS2 team. We appreciate everything the players have contributed and thank them for representing TLR.

The dice has been rolled. With JAUSTERE and Tadpole both retiring again, only frazehh and Bigun007 remain from the previous roster. Rhys “Rhys” Stumbles and Isaac “Isaac” Patto join from Glitchtech, who were relegated from UKIC Division 1. Both have played with Dripmen before, Rhys in 2022 and Isaac in 2023. The fifth spot goes to Joseph “godkU” Fowkes, who has recently plied his trade with Annex Esports as an in-game leader; that roster recently disbanded despite an unbeaten season in UKIC Division 2.

frazehh’s statement does not mention what happened to DeXteR or his plans for the future. It’s also unclear what their plans are for the next season of UKIC as roster lock rules require them to play at least the first four games with three members of the previous “core” roster.

Dripmen are:

Fraser “frazehh” Sollom
Connor “Bigun007” Suddons
Rhys “Rhys” Stumbles
Isaac “Isaac” Patto
Joseph “godkU” Fowkes
