EPIC.LAN continue to innovate within the UK events space with the announcement of a shuttle bus service for the upcoming LAN, EPIC.45.
Earlier this year, EPIC.LAN approached attendees to find out if there would be interest in a shuttle bus service to popular nearby hotels, and to gauge a suitable price point. Now two months ahead of July’s event at the Kettering Conference Centre, details for the shuttle bus service have been published.
There will be two loops, the “North Loop” to Premier Inn and Holiday Inn Express, and the “South Loop” to Kettering Park Hotel and the Travelodge. These will run in the mornings between 8 am and noon, and evenings between 8 pm and 3 am. Thursday will only have an evening service, and Sunday will only have a morning service. The exact timetable will be published closer to the event.
Ticketing will be done through wristbands, which can be purchased in advance for £30. On-demand journeys will not be possible, and players will need to ensure that they are in place at the times given on the timetable, particularly if they have scheduled matches and other commitments. You can find more information on the EPIC.LAN website.
While £30 is not a small chunk of change, it will help reduce carbon emissions by grouping journeys together, whilst still allowing for local taxi and rideshare services to do good business.
