The Predictions

Team Infused Vs Choke Gaming – Saturday 10am

Head To Head:

Team Infused 16:6 Choke Gaming (ESL One Cologne Qualifier #2)
Team Infused 8:16 Choke Gaming (ESL UK Premiership Group Stage)
Team Infused 1:2 Choke Gaming (insomnia55)
Team Infused.mix 2:1 Choke Gaming (epic.SIXTEEN)

This looks like it will be the match of the day, with two of the biggest names in the UK going up against each other. If I ended that there then the prediction wouldn’t be needed because let’s be honest this will be a nightmare to even try to predict properly.

The mind games have already begun prior to LAN with the apparent roster changes that I have been informed of because Neil_M has been coaching Team Infused since leaving Choke Gaming, and Choke felt that their strategies had been spread to some of their opponents. The changes come because of this to try and shake things up ahead of the finals and make it a bit more unpredictable for Infused.

As we can see on the recent head to heads, both sides are fairly even, with an online win each and a LAN win each, a Bo3 win each and a Bo1 win each. It will be incredibly difficult to separate but I certainly feel whoever gets accustom quicker to the conditions here at ESL UK Premiership Finals, then they will take the win in a good sense. It’s a best of three scenario which does help both teams knowing that they have the comfort of a map to make potential mistakes. The difference here is sometimes Choke get a little too passionate and end up berating themselves and each other over mistakes made and can end up badly for them.

I do feel that Infused have been here before, and they know what it takes to really overcome the issues that teams face at these type of events. If we don’t see overtime though, I will be bitterly disappointed.

Predicted Result: Team Infused 2:1 Choke Gaming

The Trophy at ESL UK Premiership Finals

Team XENEX Vs United Estonia – Saturday 1pm

Head To Head:

Team XENEX 16:2 United Estonia (ESL UK Premiership Group Stage)

A near flawless run meets an unpredictable run in the forms of Team XENEX and United Estonia. Many people may think this could be an anti-climax to the day after witnessing the majesty of two giants in the UK Scene going head to head, yet I do feel that this match has the potential to be a massive finale to the day, it may not be the two very best teams going head to head, but it will still be a great game of Counter-Strike to watch.

Team XENEX haven’t made a single roster change all season, which means they remain the only team to do so which is incredibly surprising considering the nature of this team. United Estonia have had a player step in for ca1 on occasions throughout the league season. I’ll be honest, knowing that a team hasn’t changed players in a 8 week league season is great to see and will help do a lot for their confidence heading into this semi-final. United Estonia have had a mixture of results throughout the league season including the thrashing to Team XENEX earlier on in the league season.

It’s a difficult one to predict for several reasons, how United Estonia perform on a big stage, how well prepared XENEX are ahead of LAN, and what United Estonia turns up really…..

Predicted Result: Team XENEX 2:1 United Estonia
