Straight from their 2-0 win over Perilous RAGE in their opening ESL UK Premiership match, we managed to catch up with MALIK eSports’ inkGÂ before their winners match up.
You’ve just won your opening game in the ESL UK Premiership against Perilous RAGE – how confident were you going in?
We felt confident going into this game purely down to the fact that we previously beat them in the final of the qualifier 16-2 and 16-3. However, with Perilous changing their lineup a little since last time we didn’t go into the game ahead of ourselves.
After the first map on de_cache went quite close before you eventually pulled ahead, what were your thoughts on going on to de_inferno?
Our thoughts going into inferno again, were quite confident. We knew we had a strong CT side and we managed to win the knife round meaning we could start CT.
With that game out of the way, you’re still awaiting the result of the XENEX vs exceL game before you know who you’re playing. Which team would you prefer, and why?
We don’t really mind who we play actually, we’re just going to go into the game playing our game and not worrying about who we’re against. We’re confident in our own ability as a team to beat anyone we play.
Finally, who are you expecting to top the other group?
The exit of Kryptix may change things as I’m unsure who they will be playing with, It will be tight between FM and possibly UE but I fully expect FM to take it.
