EZSkins clench the victory against Choke Gaming in the closest game of the day so far.
Before the game had even started there was upset surrounding the way FaceIt / DreamHack had seeded this event, with it coming down to ELO ranking on the FaceIt system rather than a more conventional seeding method. This game was one round before the best of three games started so it was all to play for and both Choke and EZSkins had a right to be upset about the seeding decision.

Choke Gaming took an early in this vital bo1 game going 8-1 up on the terrorist side of Cache when EZSkins turned up the heat and managing to add another 5 rounds to their CT side score wrapping the half up 9-6. The pressure didn’t let up after the change of sides either as EZSkins looked to mirror Choke Gaming’s terrorist performance claiming 5 important rounds but Choke returned the favor and pushed the score to 15-11. With the hopes of progressing futher in the DreamHack London qualifier hanging in the balance EZSkins showed their experience under pressure winning the next 4 rounds and pushing the game into its first overtime.
Heading into the first overtime both teams had hit their stride and we showing no signs of weakening with the scoreline ending up at 20-19 to EZSkins. An early kill from Weber and Rattlesnk picking up a second through the squeaky door on B site looked to be the final nail on Choke’s coffin but they caused EZSkins to over commit to that bombsite opening A up for the taking where Choke planted the bomb and defended pushing this game into its second overtime.
EZSkins, clearly not happy with not being able to dismiss Choke in just one overtime turned it up a notch took the CT half of the 2nd overtime 5-0. With it all to play for Choke Gaming managed to put another 3 rounds on the scoreboard before EZSkins secured the win 26-23.
