Earlier today, GameAgents.tv managing director Elliott “Elfy” Motsone announced that the organisation would be hosting an all UK tournament, boasting a $1,000 prize pool. In a bid to help the UK scene prosper, the tournament will play host to a total of eight teams, four directly invited and a further four spaces claimed through an online qualifier.
The online qualifier is set to take place on the 23rd-24th of May, the same weekend as the finals of the ESL UK Premiership. How this will affect the likelihood of the ESL Premeirship teams participating is yet unknown, however it is expected that some of the Premiership teams will be amongst those invited to the tournament, bypassing the online qualifier.
The tournament will be streamed inhouse by Game Agents, in partnership with CSGO Lounge. The tournament will use a round robin format, however as of yet, the qualifier format remains unknown.
