IGI eSports, who came 13th-16th at Insomnia 58, today broke the news that their team who had gone through a few roster changes as of late had split and gone their seperate ways.
The team had made their way into ESEA Main Season 23 with the help of 2 fresh players Philip “PHILO” Chan and Adam “Plasmaz” Wilde. Questionable LAN performances from a few players however caused a shakeup just after the LAN with Tom “WADDY” Wadsworth and Plasmaz leaving the team. Their replacements were announced as Joe “Luzuh” Loose and Jake “velox” Bond. PHILO was also rumoured to be leaving to join Impulse Gaming along with Plasmaz but ended up staying with the team after a few discussions.
However late last night team leader Cal “Skuxz” Bristow informed the organization that the team had split and decided to go their seperate ways. This is a massive setback for the org considering they placed first in the ESEA Intermediate regular season and were looking to place high in ESEA Main S23. However an unstable roster and bad results caused a rift between the players and they split.
IGI eSports however are now looking for a new team and are accepting applications from people interested in representing them. All applicants must provide full details of each player and the team as a whole including age, experience, recent events and any current online tournaments they’re participating in, IGI are looking for a team in ESEA Main or Intermediate and a team consisting of people aged 18+. Interested teams are to contact [email protected]
We wish the org and players the best of luck in the future and hope to see IGI come back strong again soon!
