Insomnia59 is trialling out a new bracket system for this LAN. It’s a creation of Jon “ViciousHorizon” Kelly, so no-one really knew what to expect how it’d potentially work. Time for a quick explanation of the bracket system.
Eight Groups of Six Round Robin | First Round Bo3 Single-Elimination Knockout Winners to Next Bracket | Second Round Bo3 Double Elimination Winners to Upper Bracket | Third Round Bo3 Upper Bracket |
Top 3 to Brackets Bottom 3 to Intermediates | Bo3 Lower Bracket |
That’s the format until the final, which is a Bo5 Format. The two UK Masters teams, FM-eSports and Endpoint, enter the tournament in the third round.
So now you’re all up to speed with the “Jon Kelly Special”, let’s get to recapping the first the brackets. This will be updated over LAN to include all scores from each round, so keep an eye on this and Social Media for updates.
