One of the fastest growing organisations in UK CS:GO, Into The Breach, have announced they are travelling to Finland’s largest computer festival to compete in what will be the 30th anniversary of Assembly Summer. The event will take place from 04/08/2022 – 07/08/2022 in Messukeskus, Helsinki. Into The Breach will be competing against seven other teams for a €15,000 EUR prize pool. These teams include the newly assembled ENCE Academy, who will be making their debut.

The full list of teams is as follows:
Cocolovers
Conquer Gaming
ENCE Academy
HAVU
KOVA
Into the Breach
Temp
VOID

The event will feature a BO1 group stage with BO3 elimination matches. The top two teams from each of the two groups will advance into the single-elimination playoff bracket.

This is a massive step for Into The Breach as they are sending their roster to what will be the first CS:GO LAN event outside of the UK in Into The Breach’s history. Furthermore, it will also be William “dobbo” Dobson’s and Cai “CYPHER” Watson’s first journey into LAN events outside of the UK as well.

While being a significant step for Into The Breach, this is also a positive trend for UK CS:GO as a whole. The importance of UK organisations sending their players outside the country is undeniable. These players not only get to make a name for themselves but also get blood on their teeth through playing in European tournaments. Multiple players on this roster will be playing in front of a crowd that is not their own for the first time, which will certainly make them more attractive players in the future. We can only hope that this trend continues and that UK rosters continue to get opportunities to leave home soil.

The exact roster making the journey with Into The Breach has not been officially announced.
