Soon after Temperate’s great win at Insomnia 69, the squad announced the sad news that Beau “fluFFs” Newton would be retiring from Counter-Strike, which left a large hole in the roster as fluFFs had been a key component to their recent LAN success. Where some teams might have panicked or even disbanded, Temperate didn’t – and instead brought on another winner in Harry “moshi” Raines.
Since being crowned champions of I69, the Temperate squad haven’t found too much success. An unfortunately lob-sided bracket in the BLAST qualifiers meant that Temperate haven’t made a HLTV appearance since upsetting EKO on the stage of Insomnia. With Temperate already having a spot in ESL Premiership, the addition of moshi comes at the perfect time, as the event is the perfect opportunity for the team to prove that their success wasn’t a fluke or a flash in the pan.
For moshi, the move comes after a successful stint with K10, who ended their first Main season together as a roster with a 7-5 record. It’s uncertain who K10 will be picking up to replace the rifler, but don’t be surprised if a new face appears soon with the qualifiers for ESL Premiership around the corner, and their tickets for EPIC.LAN already booked.
Temperate are now:
ManHo “mrhui” Hui
Emyr “eMy” Green
Marco “MMS” Salomone
Reegan “ReegaN” Ward
Harry “moshi” Raines
We pick up K-On anime mousepad LAN winner @moshi_cs for his Temperate debut at EPIC.LAN37. It was either him or ifan again so thank f**k @mrhuiii picked right. pic.twitter.com/jgz7x72vJM
