Nertz rumoured to be leaving Endpoint

After being substituted for the BLAST RMR Open Qualifiers, Guy "Nertz" Ilua's future with Endpoint has grown uncertain.

Everytime the Major open qualifiers come around rumors and roster speculation run rampant and this time around is no different. Keen eyes were quick to notice that Endpoint weren’t fielding their star player of Guy “Nertz” Iluz, and in his absence, had previous Astralis talent and Monte man Frederik “Fessor” Sorensen to play as a stand-in.

The speculation continued when shortly after, Endpoint weren’t able to advance in the RMR Open Qualifiers and ENCE benched Valdemar “valde” Bjørn VangsÃ¥. According to HLTV, the Finnish organization were looking at Nertz to be their dedicated 5th going forward. The fact that an individual cannot play in the open qualifiers for one team and then in the major for another, even if they were to get knocked out, explains Nertz‘s recent absence from Endpoint.

The star man for the UK organization has all the qualities and potential to step up into tier 1, and it was a matter of when he makes it, not if. Nertz has been on the Endpoint roster for just over a year and has averaged a remarkable 1.14 HLTV rating, with the last 3 months increasing it to 1.20. It is extremely clear to see why he has caught the eye of ENCE.

If the HLTV report comes to fruition, this would leave Endpoint with a roster of four and on the hunt once again for a fifth. Luckily for Endpoint their history indicates they have a good eye for talent with previous players for Endpoint including; Mohammad “BOROS” Malhas, Shahar “flameZ” Shushan, William “mezii” Merriman, and Dion “FASHR” Derksen to name a few. With roughly three weeks till their next match in ESL Challenger League and next S tier event looking a ways off, there should be plenty of time for Endpoint to rebuild.
