OblivionXC split less than a month after signing

As a scene UK CS is reaching new heights, however the instability of rosters continues to be an issue.

When the remains of Vitalize teamed up with two Benelux riflers and a fellow Brit many people considered them to have an extremely high ceiling. However, we won’t ever get to see that ceiling, as the squad has parted ways with one another less than a month after their formation.

The team struggled to find their chemistry early on in the season as after five games they had a record of 1-4 and one of their riflers, Earl “Earl” Stephenson, had already left the team. Just two weeks later, with a record of 2-5, the squad has decided to split up. UKCSGO understands that the reason behind the disbandment of the team was partly due to bad role clashes.

Sources have informed UKCSGO that Benjamin “Klay” Hurst and Alan “yOOm” Groot will stick around to finish out the rest of the season and OblivionXC are working on signing a new team. It is currently unknown where the former players will end up going.

It is unfortunate to see a UK team disband so quickly after forming and, hopefully, this will be a blip in an otherwise great start to the year for UK CS.
