Oscar “Azuwu” Bell and Jan “cej0t” Dyl have been let go by the Portuguese organisation, SAW.
The short spell for the Brit and the Pole lasted only 99 days and saw them get off to a flying start, but the honeymoon period wouldn’t last, and a string of bad results followed their ESL Pro League Season 21 run.
The duo joined SAW in February after Endpoint put their CS division on pause, transfer listing their entire roster. It took just 13 days for the Portuguese side to pluck AZUWU and cej0t off the bench, but now they once again find themselves back where they started.
AZUWU represented the UK scene well when he debuted for SAW at ESL Pro League stage 1 at the beginning of March, his first Tier-1 event. The newly international side powered through flawlessly to the second stage of the event by going 3-0 in the Swiss stage, dispatching the likes of HEROIC, FURIA, and M80 in their run to the main stage of the 21st iteration of EPL.

The main stage would begin to foreshadow some of the misfortune that would befall this roster despite another strong start. Their first match of the second Swiss stage of the event saw them take on NAVI, which SAW would reverse sweep to win 2-1
This would be their last victory of the event, as they proceeded to lose to runners-up Spirit and other big names in G2 and GamerLegion. Hopeful signs showed to start AZUWU and cej0t‘s tenure at SAW, but unfortunately, it wasn’t to last. Despite taking revenge against Gamerlegion at the BLAST.tv Austin Major European MRQ, SAW would go 2-3 in the Swiss stage and fail to qualify for the Major in Austin.
SAW’s next LAN appearance would see them venture down under after they accrued enough VRS points to attend IEM Melbourne. Their opening match would see them face the eventual finalists Falcons, as SAW were sent to the lower bracket after a 0-2 loss.
SAW would then face MIBR in the lower bracket, but met the same fate as they lost 1-2 to exit the Australian event in last place. This last-place exit would be followed by another bottom finish after they went winless at the Mesa Nomadic Masters, falling to JiJiehao and Chinggis warriors.
AZUWU and cej0t‘s final appearance in a SAW jersey would be their 5th-8th finish at CCT Season 3 Europe Series 1 after they received a playoff invite. They won their tournament debut against Favbet before falling to tournament victors Ence 2-0.
SAW stated that “after a particularly exhausting season marked by results below our expectations, we feel compelled to reflect on our path and what we aspire to for the future of the team.”
Alongside the removal of AZUWU and cej0t, SAW have also parted ways with their mental and performance coach Oskar Hemby. Coach Maikil “Golden” Selim will also be moved to the bench, effective immediately.
SAW are now:
Christopher “MUTiRiS” Fernandes
João “story” Vieira
André “Ag1l” Gil
Their inactive roster is:
Maikil “Golden” Selim (coach)
José “shr” Gil
Ricardo “roman” oliveira
We'll start by waving goodbye to two young talents with a bright future ahead. ✨
