Stifmeister signed by Wind and Rain

by Michael MoriartyFebruary 20, 2018

The UK team flying high at the top of ESEA MDL, Stifmeister, have been signed by Wind and Rain. The organisation, who have been a part of various games and currently compete in the ESL Premiership for League of Legends, announced the signing after the first night of the ESL Premiership, where they had debuted under their colours.

The team have been performing above most expectations in MDL, currently holding a 3-3 record with wins over teams like Gambit and Nemiga. Their first match in the ESL Premiership last night was a comfortable 16-5 win over Enclave, as the team were looking to fight for the title this season. Their first games under Wind and Rain will be tonight in the ESEA MDL, against aAa and PRIDE at 8pm and 9pm GMT respectively. Their next match in the ESL Premiership will see them take on Vexed, at 8pm on Wednesday.

Coach nEiLZiNHo had this to say upon joining the organisation:

We are delighted to announce that we have joined up with Wind & Rain for the foreseeable future. After qualifying for ESEA MDL we have been searching for the right partners to help develop and promote our team of young and talented individuals.

I have been a part of this line-up since we began our MDL campaign and aim to use my experience as a player and in-game leader to help establish this team in Europe, as well as continue our strong start to the season. I have been extremely impressed with the progress that we have shown so far, despite having such a young and inexperienced line-up and I am positive that this will continue given the right amount of time and support.

Outside of ESEA, we will be competing in the ESL UK premiership and shall be looking to enter any European tournaments or qualifiers that are available to us.

The new Wind and Rain roster is:

Sam “Astroo” Gresham
Zaki “Danceyz” Dance
Travis “L1NK” Mendoza
Aaron “Frei” Frei
Calum “Kray” Knight

Neil “nEiLZiNHo” Finlay (coach)
