Shortly after a top 6 finish at EPICLAN, The Last Resort have announced that their CS2 roster is free to explore new opportunities.
The veteran organisation, which was founded in 2003, picked up the former K10 squad last November. At that point Adam “AdamJC” Colwell was the team’s caller, with Connor “Bigun” Suddons remaining on the roster for the full duration. AdamJC, William “Wiiam” O’Shea and Rik “ve1nzo” Zweggers all left the squad at various times, while James “Flicky” Errington was benched in August.
In their stead the team first added Fizan “Fizzy” Anjum, followed by Antal “Cher1on” Lubbers and in-game leader Rhys “RhysStumbles” Stumbles. Rhys briefly left the team amid a July roster shuffle, but returned after his planned project fell through, even picking up AWP duties from Flicky in recent weeks.
The team have consistently fielded decent results, but have struggled to push on and challenge for trophies. They finished top 4 at EPIC.42 with Marco “MMS” Salomone in place of Rhys, and finished top 6 at EPIC 43 with a key win over #5 seed Dreams to Legends in the lower bracket. However, they have fallen at the quarter-final stage in every season of the UKIC League, and have started season 4 with a 1-3 record.
Bigun was the first to announce his future plans, joining Dripmen in place of Arkadiusz “ifan” Dabkowski. Rhys will play out the UKIC and ESEA seasons under the Part Timers banner alongside seeking a new team, while Fizzy, Cher1on and Madden “MaddeN” Lamy are seeking out new opportunities.
The Last Resort were:
