Joe “Godku” Fawkes will be taking the reins of another TLR roster as his UKIC Season 8 Masters team gets picked up by the UK organisation. This marks a return to UK CS for The Last Resort after they fielded a European roster at the last iteration of EPIC.LAN.
European talents like Thomas “birdfromsky” Due-Frederiksen and Johannes “b0RUP” Borup donned the TLR colours for the last Kettering event before the core of the roster was sold on to kONO in August this year. The European mix only managed a 7-8th finish at EPIC.LAN 45, getting bested by the UK’s finest in Tom “arTisT” Clarke’s NXT.
Even though TLR still had Arek “Vegi” Nawojski and Jonathan “b0denmaster” Bodenmalm under contract, they didn’t build back around them. Now they return to their roots once again, with UKIC winner Jamie “Tree60” Callan joining their ranks.
Godku will also be returning to TLR after he had a brief stint with them earlier this year. TLR signed dripmen in March before dropping the roster less than two months later and exiting Counter-Strike until the Europeans joined their ranks.
This iteration of TLR will be a six-man roster with a different permutation of players competing in three different tournaments. Tree60 will be playing for their ESEA main and EPIC.LAN campaigns, but will be replaced with his older brother, Daniel “Geckeos” Callan, for UKIC, as Tree60 qualified for UKIC Season 8 Masters with the Wasted Talent roster. Geckeos will also be playing at EPIC.LAN, but instead of Alibond.
Tree60 looks to climb back to the top of UK CS with The Last Resort
Before joining TLR, they played as Klaze Clan; under that mantle, they failed to qualify for UKIC Season 8 Masters. Losing to one of their own in Tree60 in one of their qualification games, and in the other, they were bested by 8Sins.
Competing in ESEA Main Season 55, their campaign has started on the right foot as the UK core is currently 4-0. The Last Resort will be hoping to continue that good form into EPIC.LAN 46 and aim for a top placing.
