Many months ago in the previous season of the ESL UK Premiership, a bunch of little know hopefuls by the name of “Lime Goblins” managed to break their way through the qualifiers and make it all the way to offline finals, whilst at the same time securing their first organisation in the form of exceL eSports, to be followed by EZSkins. Since this event, the team’s high profile activity went cold, despite moving on to represent UK high street second hand gadget retailer, CeX, and bringing in two non-UK players. Their new look roster was, however, short-lived, as the side lost them to the German EPS  at the end of summer. They did however manage to get a top six finish with two stand-ins at the last iSeries, though some considered this to be a poor showing from the once promising looking side.
Meanwhile, long standing UK organisation had decided to once again try their hand at nurturing a UK CS:GO roster, formed of a mix of a talent with a background in both of the previous Counter-Strike iterations. The Reason side have been more prominent in recent memory, with successful campaigns at both the most recent iSeries as well as this winter’s epic LAN, where they finished fourth and second respectively.
Sometimes, however, success in not enough to keep a team in one piece. Since their last event together, the Reason Gaming line-up has undergone some significant changes, most recently by amalgamating with the now re-animated CeX and taking on their pseudonym. This means that Reason Gaming are left without a UK representative, and the former CeX line-up now looks tremendously different.
Reason Gaming manager Adam Heath had the following to say:
It is a real shame to say goodbye to the UK team, I really enjoyed being involved in the competitive UK scene again. At the moment I am not sure what the future holds with our presence in the UK CSGO scene but it will always be something I keep a firm eye on, even if it is only for the gossip.
