Astralis Female, coming into this season, decided to go whole Nordic with a majority Danish roster. Thus, we saw a strong set of players thrust back into the fray, with the likes of Héjja “kezziwow” Kászandrá who brought in newcomers Chloe “KittyTM” Geaney and Melissa “meli” Aylin, to test their hand at qualifying for the ESL Impact League. Even though they do not have the support of an organisation, they stormed through the first open qualifier with ease.
There was tough competition during their run, with organisation-backed teams such as Spirit, Astralis, Virtus.Pro, FTW and Insilio, however they were no match for KittyTM‘s squad. In the qualification match, Let Her Cook defeated Spirit FE 2-0 in convincing fashion, with KittyTMÂ boasting a 1.44 HLTV rating and an extraordinary 2.25 HLTV rating on Mirage T-side. After being fairly unknown in the UK CS and ESL Impact scene, she has shown everyone she is a force to be reckoned with.
Alongside the qualifier, Let Her Cook overcame Spirit FE and NIP Impact in an ESL Impact Cash Cup earlier this month. Only narrowly losing to G2 Oya 1-2 in the semi-finals.
UKCSGO reached out to KittyTM for a statement about her success and the future of the team:
It’s an amazing feeling of course especially for me as someone who never qualified for anything besides ESEA intermediate, and I think it’s my first step towards my dream of becoming a pro.
For the future of the team the first goal is obviously continue on the path to win ESL Impact and our other main objective is to secure an organisation.
Let Her Cook will be in search of an organisation going into the next season of ESL Impact, as well as other tournaments during their campaign.
Let Her Cook will compete in ESL Impact Season 4 as:
Chloe “KittyTM” Geaney
Héjja “kezziwow” Kászandrá
Yoana “Joanana” Vlaykova
Luna “ManeschijnX” Akkermans
Melissa “meli” Aylin
Coach: Toon “Syther” Snauwaert
