IWT (I Wasn’t Trying) have formed a new lineup with an old school UK legend in their ranks, Jay ‘f00b‘ Davenport. The team comes together with the aim to attend the February epicLAN, epic20, and while resurrecting the name I Wasn’t Trying, they do have their minds set on teaming up with an organisation for the event and beyond. Like most unsigned teams at the moment, they are waiting to see how they fair in the UK EPS qualifiers which kick off in January, along with the UKGT qualifiers, before making their minds up.
Let’s take a closer look at this new lineup:
Mitch ‘mitchen‘ Harrop – 3 LANs, finished 9th-10th at all 3, fm-eSports, played with Rasta.b2g with the likes of CINDER and kARMApangya. He also played in the ESL UK premiership. Semi finalists in Plantronics UK open with b2g. looking to beat that 9-10th curse at epic in February.
Sami ‘walker‘ Grey – various mix teams, best result being CLIQUE with shaney, hayden, jstar and JT where they finished 5th/6th at epic11. Been to 4 LANs in total, always finished top10.
James ‘jamesta‘ Granata – played for a while in the .MINISTRY lineup along side ashh, rawrchicken, metta, rhaz and eddie. Finished 9th at i47 and 5th/6th with them at i48. Took a break from the UK competitive scene after the .Ministry team disbanded and played in a few nordic teams in the meantime. Been to 4 LANs in total.
Jay ‘f00b‘ Davenport – “old spice” at a ripe old age f00b is such a good player and is our IGL. Only God knows how many LANs he’s been to in total. A real veteran of the scene dating back to the early Counter-Strike:Source days.
Andy ‘Syphon‘ Blooman. Played for IWT @ i51 and i54 with 7/8 and 9-12 finishes. Previously played with Perilous Fury at i49 and managed a 9th-12th finish. Been to more LANs than can be counted. you can always find him at the iSeries bar playing Flip Cup!
