ESL Premiership champions cut one

The most experienced member of the side has been sidelined.

by Tom Coles

After a “poor run of form” Arkadiusz “ifan” Dabkowski has left Ex-Raptors.

ifan joined the then-Raptors EC roster in June, with the storied ex-CeX rifler bringing experience to the young roster. They have won two domestic trophies with ifan, with their unexpected run to victory at ESL Premiership Autumn 2023 turning them from a mid-table side to the top of the UKCSGO rankings. They lived up to this hype with another victory at EPIC.LAN 40. They also won the online United21 Season 3 shortly after forming.

Outside those LAN events, however, the squad have struggled to push on. After leaving Raptors EC at the expiration of their contracts, the international squad competed in CCT East Europe Series 4 Closed Qualifier but lost to Spirit Academy and Zero Tenacity. Since that, their only HLTV appearance was in European Pro League Division 2 Season 7, where losses to JANO and Lazer Cats saw them exit in 5th-6th place. They have been relegated from ESEA Advanced after only achieving 2 wins from 12 games in the division this season, and to add insult to injury, have lost both their recent matches against domestic rivals Verdant.

Ex-Raptors have been seen playing with former dripmen and eMasters rifler Josh “JAUSTERE” Philpott in place for ifan, and will play with him for the upcoming UKIC Season 0 Finals next weekend in Sheffield. Daniel “papp” Hart has confirmed to UKCSGO that JAUSTERE has joined on a trial basis, with the squad planning to also trial other players. The squad also has a place in next year’s ESL Pro League Season 19 EU Pre-Qualifier as a result of winning ESL Premiership, where they will take on other domestic champions for a single spot in ESL’s premier competition, ESL Pro League Season Season 19.

Ex-Raptors are now:

Rasmus “zodi” Frølich
Marco “MMS” Salomone
Reegan “ReegaN” Ward
Slaven “AwaykeN” Lyubenov
Josh “JAUSTERE” Philpott (trial)

Daniel “papp” Hart (coach)
