In a cryptic tweet earlier today, ESL announced that they are to be hosting the LAN finals of the first of this year’s seasons of the ESL Pro League in London. The event is set to take place during the 12-15th May, which will feature the top 4 finishing teams from EU and NA competing for a as-of-yet undisclosed Prize Pool, apart from the understanding that ESL are offering $1.5milion for their two Pro League seasons this year (meaning there’s $750,000 on offer for Season 3).

Location and schedule for the ESL Pro League finals past the fact it’s in London and in May, nor do we know about ticket details or age requirements, but with the tournament being located in the UK and with the organisers announcing their intention to have the league televised could see it as the ultimate sweetener for the BBC to agree to televise the league, something they have done before in eSports when the League of Legends Worlds Quarter-Finals came to Wembley.
All we do know is that’ll be a great tournament to showcase the world’s greatest talent in the UK and the first since DreamHack London last year.
