The knockout stage of i55 has been in full swing all day, with final 32 teams battling it out for their share of the £7,500 prize pool sponsored by Roccat. Slowly but surely teams dropped to the lower bracket and exited the tournament. EZSkins got some much needed revenge on All4 after drawing against them in groups giving the non-seeded team the first place spot at the end of the group stage. EZSkins came back with all guns blazing, dropping only 3 rounds.
From there the EZSkins team had a clean run to the upper bracket finals not dropping a single map. At this stage they met 3rd place seed, Team Infused, who have been performing solidly in the event so far. Team Infused kept up the good performances but EZSkins ended their run in the upper bracket winning the series 2-1 with some great entry kills from Reece “Puls3” Marrs helping them secure vital rounds.
At this stage there are 4 teams left that stand a chance at claiming the other grand final spot, Cex, Team Infused, Reason Gaming and Molotovs n Marshmallows who are currently in the middle of their bo3 games to progress into the lower bracket finals.
