Multiplay recently announced that Insomnia Scotland, the company’s first big event outside of England, will host a 64 team CS:GO tournament.
Taking place in the EICC in Edinburgh, Scotland, Insomnia Scotland is Multiplay’s first venture outside of their regular iSeries events hosted in England. Both Insomnia Scotland and Insomnia Ireland (the other Insomnia event taking place outside England this year) are expected to be huge hits with their respective counties and means that teams and players wanting to attend an Insomnia event don’t have to travel so far to do so.
The CS:GO tournament hosted at Insomnia Scotland will be open to anyone of any age who purchases a BYOC ticket for Insomnia Scotland, some of Scotland’s best teams will most likely be in attendance at this event.
Multiplay also revealed that the CS:GO Open tournament will have a £1500 prize pool, with £750 going to the winners and £375, £250 and £125 to second, third and fourth place respectively. The prize pool is big enough, and BYOC tickets cheap enough, that some teams may make the trip from England to Scotland for the weekend in order to attend the event. It’s entirely possible too as teams are even considering attending Copenhagen Games instead of Insomnia 57 in March due to BYOC ticket costs.
To enter this tournament, head on over to the Insomnia Scotland website and sign up for a BYOC ticket to reserve your spot in the tournament early.
