On the 16th of November K10 released their roster after the organisation’s goal to make ESEA Advanced went unmet, less than a month later they have announced their new team. The roster, which went by the name Ex-Coalesce, are currently the third best team in the UK according to the UKCSGO rankings as they prepare to compete at the UKIC LAN Finals this weekend.
The move sees a familiar face don the green jersey of K10 as Jamie “Tree60” Callan returns to the team after previously leaving K10 to join Ex-Coalesce in August.
Ex-Coalesce have made three significant changes since leaving their previous organisation. As previously mentioned Tree60 joined from K10 replacing Oscar “AZUWU” Bell when he made the move to Endpoint. This was later followed up by the arrivals of Jacob “Rezst” Hemming and Zy “yz0” Esponilla who took the spots of Oliver “leaf” Jackson (who has since joined GamerLegion Academy) and Preben “Trax” Martinsen.
The orgless roster has found reasonable success in the last few months including a recent qualification to the UKIC LAN Finals after finishing second in the league. Unfortunately for the team they did not receive many European event invitations despite their success.
For K10 they now have a top five UK CS team which will be competing in Sheffield next weekend. In preparation for the tournament, the team has been bootcamping at Endpoint’s facilities. During their media day, K10’s owner, Ethan “Fl0wz” Rogerson, reached out to UKCSGO for a comment on their new team:
We’re incredibly happy to be able to support such a storied and talented roster and continue our commitment to talent development within the UK scene. While this team marks a step up in the level of play for K10, our mission remains the same. Long term we are looking to become the top UK team and consistently compete in tier 2 events while developing the players’ personal brands and professional skillset.
yz0 is equally excited about signing for K10, stating:
Happy that we found a good org to play under, everyone has been very welcoming. Arrived at Sheffield and noticed Jamie [Tree60] was much shorter than 6′ but it’s all good.
