Late last night, we were informed that the line-up currently representing Monumentalis has left their organisation after disagreements of how they were to proceed with their team. After asking the players from the team, we discovered that this was the case. This move comes after the side, only recently picked up by the fledgling organisation, placed 9-12th at i57 and qualified for ESEA Main after winning their play-off game.
When asked, Philip “Philo” Chan told us:
Well basically, we had conflicting interest and different opinion with the org and the way the team plays, also they tried to take control over the team and tried to remove certain players. It was pretty much the same reason as the old team they had. Currently we’re playing under the name proZac, a new organisation formed recently, the owner of which was also our coach at i57 and we believe that we will have successful future under his banner. I wish Monumentalis the very best with their new team.
We approached Monumentalis for comment, and while they didn’t want to make an official statement just yet they were adamant that this is a story of two tales. According to one of the Directors of Monumentalis, Daniel Wootton-Howell, b8z, CESKIE and EXACT were removed from the team after an unprofessional behavior at i57. Philo then requested to be released from his contract so he could move with the other three players. This leaves Josh “JDD” Denham  as the sole member of Monumentalis at the moment. According to Daniel they have new players lined up and we can expect a statement from them about their new lineup by the weekend.
The proZac lineup are also scouting the scene for one player to play in ESEA with them. Their roster is:
- Paul “b8z” Bates
- Craig “CESKIE” Stewart
- Ben “EXACT” Dixey
- Philip “Philo” Chan
