Earlier today Multiplay announced that they won’t be holding i56 in the Ricoh Arena in December. Multiplay first held Insomnia at the Ricoh Arena in April 2014, for i51 and it was the event’s third home. Now, they appear to have outgrown even this arena and as such are moving their last event of 2015 to the NEC in Birmingham.
The announcement Multiplay put up on their website about i56 in Birmingham also noted about a partnership with GAME, in which they helped the event move to the NEC, and also tickets will be available for the event over December 11-14th for the first time in GAME stores.
Tickets for i56 go on sale on Monday at 12pm on their website, as well as at GAME stores across the country on Monday. Our coverage of i55 hasn’t finished yet, and we will be continuing until the curtain falls on Sunday evening.

any idea when details are released such as possible accommodation etc?
Literally live 15 minute drive away, and it will be an amazing venue for something like this.
Good venue of choice, long overdue though. Potential problems though, lack of camping, overpriced food, and change of dates. Other than that, should be good in the long term for Multiplay.
Do we have any indication when Multiplay will release the full details?
