Multiplay announce UK Masters league

Multiplay have just announced a huge addition the iSeries season, with the addition of a UK league to promote activity in the scene. The league will consist of eight teams who will qualify for the spots via four online qualifiers, with the top two teams from each qualifier grabbing one spot. This league has a whopping £12,600 behind it which will be split across the season.

The first £5,600 of prize money will be split up and paid to all teams that successfully win a map. Each weekly fixture will be a best of two with teams claiming £100 per map win. This means that teams that make it through the round robin stage without dropping a map will pocket a cool £1,400.

Once the round robin stage is over, the top four teams will move on to a double elimination knockout event which has the remaining £7,000 up for grabs, and will be played online. The two finalists will receive BYOC tickets to i58, and a hotel for the weekend, where they will compete in the offline finals of the league, set to take place during the group stages of the main i58 tournament. Fear not though, you will also get a free pass through the group stages of the main tournament sliding you right into the main knockout bracket.

Today, Multiplay Esports is excited to announce the Counter Strike: Global Offensive UK Masters. Teams will duke it out through 4 online open qualifiers with the 1st and 2nd place teams from each qualifier determining who will progress into our 7 week league and double elimination play-off, culminating in the grand final live from Insomnia58 with a total combined prize pool of £12,600!

The league will be a best of two format, broadcast every Tuesday and Wednesday live on Twitch for 7 weeks. Throughout the duration of the league £5,600 is up for grabs, with prizes given to teams on a per map basis.

Following the conclusion of our 7 week league, the top four teams will move on to our online play-off stage, which will run in an double elimination, best of three format leading into the best of five LAN final at Insomnia58 where teams will compete for a share of a £7,000.
