It’s been around three weeks officially of the epic.LAN’s latest project, epic.STREAM Team, launch. Since that launch, Tom “Gumpster” Gumbleton has been toying with various ideas on how to captivate a UK audience that is growing in participation and growing in consuming accessible content. Well the first episode will be airing on Sunday evening this coming weekend as a tester to the format and panel.
With very little content being produced for the UK specific events currently, it’s been difficult for people to find out what is going on in the relevant games in the UK, for example, those outside of the CS:GO scene in the UK don’t really have much actual content being pumped out on a regular basis either written or on Twitch. This prompted Tom “Gumpster” Gumbleton to think, with a gap in the market, and the epic.LAN announcement of the streaming team platform where regular people stream on a daily basis on the epic.LAN Twitch channel, meant that there was a possibility of making a show of it.
The next two months will see two different events in two different locations which means content should freely be coming out on the go, and with epic.LAN in a few weeks time, it means the show can spend a good portion of time hyping said event and doing something similar prior to insomnia57 in March too. This means the show called PhoenixUK will now broadcast on a regular basis and provide all the necessary content over the next year.
The show will cover all three major eSport titles, League Of Legends, Counter-Strike:Global Offensive & Dota2 and then have a segment on any of the other eSport titles including HearthStone, Heroes of The Storm, FIFA and many others, but these may be revamped on a weekly basis depending on what topics come across our desks at the time. There will be weekly guests and we will have shows for selective call ins, as we take questions on various subjects and things close to your hearts. The show will take place on the epic.LAN Twitch channel on Sunday evenings between 5pm – 7pm, with a VoD kept on Twitch and uploaded to the epic.LAN Youtube channel so that people can enjoy the content whenever they want after the show has aired.
