A short while ago on Twitter FlipSid3 Tactics announced that Owen “Smooya” Butterfield will be standing in for Denis “electronicCSGO” Sharipov due to Visa issues. This is a big step for the young player. After hinting at it on his Twitter for a few days now it seems like it has now been confirmed by the org and he will indeed be heading to California to participate in the iBP Masters along side Andrey “B1ad3” Gorodensky, Georgy “WorldEdit” Yaskin, Yegor “Markeloff” Markelov and Jan “wayLander” Rahkonen.Â
iBuyPower Masters features a $100,000 prize pool and is taking place in beautiful Costa Mesa, California on November 12th-13th. This event serves as a qualifier that offers 4 teams a chance to move onto competing at IEM Oakland.
Owen has said on Twitter “I’m ready for this, almost like I’m meant for this.” He seems really keen on showing the world on what he can do, best of luck to him.
