It has been announced that the UK side of Reason Gaming has been invited to take part in the hitbox Arena Championship, alongside some top sides from Europe. This online tournament has a prize pool of $2500 (£1600), and is set to take place from 17th-19th August. Reason.UK are replacing Team Infused, who had to pull-out of the tournament due to Infused wanting more time to practice before iSeries with their latest player, Whindanski, who has been out of action since joining the team.
The teams set to feature alongside Reason.UK are Team Dignitas, Aposis Gaming, Publiclir.se, Overgaming, Ex-Orbit, London Conspiracy and Dobry & Gaming. Reason.UK are set to play their game on the 18th against Dobry & Gaming, in a single-elimination fashion. The winner of that game will go on to face the winner of the Ex-Orbit -v- London Conspiracy game, so it should be an interesting set of games for the Reason side if they manage to go far.
The tournament will be streamed over on hitbox.tv/csarena and should be a fun bit of viewing to tie you over before the major starts on the 20th, as well as some good UK CS to support.
