REPORT: Viperio set to make a double change

Just as the next season kicks off, Viperio see fit to make some changes.

According to sources close to UKCSGO, Viperio are set to replace two players in their roster. On their way out of the BLAST.tv Paris RMR attendees are Kirk “Tadpole” Stephens and Javier “Ping” Griffiths, as two new players come in to take their place. The moves are confirmed only for the ESL Premiership Closed Qualifiers that are starting start this weekend.

The first new player in is UKCSGO’s one to watch Andrew “Wolfie” Allan. Wolfie has been used as a stand-in for Viperio for a while, being seen in both CCT North Europe Series 6 closed qualifier and the European Pro League Season 9 matches. Prior to lining up with Viperio, Wolfie had been part of Into the Bin, lifting the UKIC CeX Spring Invitational 2023 title while there. He was also in appearance at EPIC.39 over the weekend, finishing third while standing in for Next in Line esports.

Also joining will be Mohamad “Ducky” Nourelden. Ducky comes fresh off a stint with Arctic Raptors, having left before their rebranding to RAPTORS EC in June. During his time with the team, they achieved a top six finish during ESL Premiership Spring, and a third place finish at EPIC.38. He was also part of the Arctic Raptors team that re-secured promotion to ESEA Advanced last season.

The team has been competing with this roster in the CCT East Europe Series 1 closed qualifiers, where they won their group undefeated, with wins over Dmitriy “facecrack” Alekseyev’s AiMMERS and the German EPIC DUDES roster. They’re set to play their qualification match this weekend, with their opponent currently undetermined. Alongside this, they have have the previously mentioned ESL Premiership Closed Qualifier this weekend, and will resume competition in ESEA Advanced.
