The project from Earl “Earl” Stephenson has a new home as they have signed with OblivionXC. Joined by former Vitalize AWPer Benjamin “Klay” Hurst and rifler Oskar “oskvr” Myszka, the lineup is completed with Dutch youngsters Alan “yOOm” Groot and Philong “Philong” Nguyen.
It is not the first time that Earl has competed with players from the Benelux region. He was the sole Englishman on the LowLandLions roster which competed at the ESL Benelux Championship Autumn 2022. This move reunites him with yOOm from that side, the young Dutchman having since competed with KRC Genk in Advanced Season 43 and VoxelsVoederbietels in Open Season 44 achieving promotion to Intermediate with the latter.
Philong is the final piece of the Dutch puzzle. He was most recently a part of Intermediate Benelux mix Join the Gang in the previous ESEA season; the team also competed at Kayzr League Fall 2022 losing all three group games (including a defeat by fellow UK side Viperio).
AWPer Klay was part of the Vitalize roster alongside Earl last season that suffered as a result of off-server problems, including Earl moving house, and utilised a stand-in for EPIC.38 before the line-up disbanded. As part of the announcement it was also confirmed that Klay will handle calling duties, something that he did in his role on Endpoint Academy. The team will also be using former Vitalize coach Stanoski.

The roster is rounded out by oskvr, who played with Earl at Insomnia 69 in 1fredde, finishing in 4th place. The 20-year old has also stood in for Royals on numerous occasions and spent last season with Havik Esports. The team will hope this new line-up can improve on Vitalize’s 6-8 record from last season, as well as make an impact at upcoming UK LANs.
OblivionXC formed recently from a merger of X Caliber, OBN, and Vitalize. They also have a team in Call of Duty: Warzone and a group of streamers under their banner.
