Announced earlier today in a tweet and video on the FACEIT’s Youtube, The Esports Championship Series or ECS for short is returning to England for the finals of their third season of Counter Strike.
The top eight teams of their regular season in both EU and NA will travel to the SSE Arena in London on the 24th and 25th of June, 2017 to fight for the championship and for a large share of the prize pool. As with previous seasons of ECS, the prize pool is not specified however, there is $1.5 million provided by ECS that goes towards the prize pool and supportive funds that will provide player and team stability.
The ECS Season 1 finals were hosted in the very same arena where an epic grand finals battle saw the French side G2 Esports take down Luminosity Gaming (now SK Gaming)Â in a best of 3 series that G2 took 2-0.
