Over the last week, Dragon Esports announced through social media and their website, that they had acquired the team ROYALS.UK. This team had made a few headlines over the three weeks of ESL UK Premiership qualifiers when they reached the final of the first qualifier to only lose to fish123. They then made Ro16 in the following week, and managed to reach the Semi-Finals in Week 3 of the qualifier cups. This meant they had qualified for the ESL UK Premiership Promotions Tournament in third position in the rankings.
It was then, that ROYALS.UK became Dragon Esports, and have become a rather intriguing lineup in the UK. They didn’t go to insomnia58 however they are looking at attending epic.NINETEEN in October and insomnia59 in December later this year.
Two of the original members of the team were part of the Armchair Athletes lineup that went to epic.SEVENTEEN in February. They unfortunately didn’t make it past the group stage where they had finished third place behind the Infused mix team and Mini Kiev Krew team at that point.
From Dragon Esports official website, Founder Francisco “Shacabau” Sousa had this to say:
Took us a while but we’re very happy with the outcome. The new CSGO team will allow us to be present in one of the games we’ve followed and wanted to get in for years and we’re incredibly excited about the upcoming games, especially epic19, i59 and the EPS. We’re all confident in this new partnership will be a very positive one and can’t wait to see the guys in action.
Jack “Kpiz” Pragnell had this to add on the announcement:
“After epic17 Jack and I weren’t happy with the placings we’d got and set out to make a new line-up, instead of being a mix without practice, we decided to put the effort in and take it seriously. We formed in February and have been pushing online results, now we’re happy with our stable roster we’re keen to see what damage we can do offline – I’d like to thank the guys here at Dragon eSports for giving us this opportunity to do so, I’d also like to express our excitement for working with Dragon in online/offline events throughout the rest of the year.”
Dragon Esports are as follows:-
Jack “kpiz” Pragnell
Christian “stylez” Hart
Jack “J4ck” Slosmanis
Josh “neph” Munro

We will have more information on any potential moves that are coming up in the UK CS:GO Scene, so make sure you keep your eyes peeled on this website for future information. It should be noted, that the Dragon Esports website is actually pretty cool, so if you do get a chance, give them a look around.
