Team CeX have announced through Twitter, that they have lost two of their players as the UK scene continues to chop and change since insomnia60. Despite a good second placed finish at epic20 in February, Team CeX had high hopes of making Top 4 for insomnia60. However, as ever everything seemed easier said than done, CeX looked pretty strong during the group stages, but after the pre-elimination game, they failed to make much of an impact throughout the tournament.
post-lan shuffle
The team IGI.eSports have announced recently that they have slightly altered their lineup after a few “disappointing” results from both insomnia58 and the ESL UK Premiership Qualifiers. The team had attended insomnia58, with high hopes of reaching a Top 8 place, however they crashed out in 13th – 16th and eventually managed to back that up with a third placed finish in the Intermediate Tournament.
The team have removed both Tom “WADDY” Wadsworth and Adam “Plasmaz” Wilde whilst they have brought on two players, one of which is from the team Millwall Bushwackers in the form of Joe “Luzuh” Loose & Jake “velox” Bond. Jake was a part of the Millwall set up that saw him play in UK Masters, and finish at insomnia58 in 13th – 16th position. Meanwhile, Joe was part of the Bulldog eSports team that made headlines at insomnia58 where they caused a few key upsets throughout the tournament and played incredibly well against teams such as fm-eSports. Bulldog eventually finished in 9th – 12th.
As with always in the UK CS:GO scene, teams continue to chop and change after the LAN looking for better results from different players in different roles. However IGI.eSports are looking at conquering ESEA Season 23 Main Division where they are joined by 9 other UK teams in there. They also will be looking at attending insomnia59 in December later this year.
Here is IGI.eSports new lineup for the upcoming months:
Cal “Skuxz” Bristow
Philip “Philo” Chan
Kristaps “Archer” Sarkans
Joe “Luzuh” Loose
Jake “velox” Bond

In what can only be assumed as more fallout from the recent iSeries event, i57, Team CeX have found themselves without their two most recent additions. Carle “Pegggyyy” Kneale was first to fall, leaving straight after iSeries after receiving an unconfirmed “better offer” from a new lineup that is being pulled together under the cover of darkness. Now today we hear reports that their second recent addition, Jonathan “Sheekey” Sheekey has left the team after a heated conversation about another team member, Andrew “resu” Robinson.
While we are not sure of the exact content of this heated discussion, we are fairly sure it didn’t involve a smoke grenade this time, although this doesn’t rule out any other form of projectile.
This puts the team back to the same state they were in at the end of February.
Charley “Charley” Walker
Andrew “resu” Robinson
Kristians “CINDER” Bogdanovs
There is quite a large gap between now and the offline next event, epic.EIGHTEEN, which is taking place over the weekend of June 16th – 19th. This gives them a good amount of time to find their replacements and get them drilled in time for the event. What’s a little more pressing is the start of the UK ESL EPS Promotion Series which kicks off soon and locks its rosters tonight. Team CeX will need to find two able bodies to fill the gaps else face the wrath of “Penalty Point” Peter.
It has been reported to us that the Team Infused CSGO team have parted ways with the organisation. They only joined Team Infused at the end of February after a mix containing some of their players won epic.SEVENTEEN under the Team Barrage tag. Now, just days after a very similar mix won i57 under the Rasta Gaming banner, they are leaving Infused in search for something bigger.
The current lineup of the ex-Infused squad is Philip “Whindanski” Nicholas, Som “s0m” Haddow, Kia “Surreal” Man, Neil “neilzinho” Finlay and Josh “mole” Rowley, with Neil “NeiL_M” Murphy as coach. It is unconfirmed if this roster will change now that it has parted ways with Infused but with a lot of teams shuffling at the moment, there is a large pool to choose from should they need to make any changes.
Neil made the following statement on their departure from Team Infused.
Today we parted ways with Team Infused on good terms. We’d like thank them for the short time we had and wish them all the best in the future. Our future plans will be announced very soon!
Neil’s quote points at the team already having a new organisation lined up, but as of yet there is no comment on which organisation that may be. We are slowly getting reports of a couple of teams in other organisations falling apart completely, leaving these organisations without a team, so there are a few homes that they could be moving to. From what we have heard, nerdRage is top of that list, after their CSGO team finished i57 below their seed.
We wish the team well as they move forward to a new home, we felt our current focus and their plans were progressing at different speeds and as a result this is what is best for all involved. – Andrew “Vanq” Chrisoforou, Team Infused owner
There are a lot of homeless teams floating around at the moment so it should only be a matter of time before they fill the spot with a roster that matches the speed that Team Infused wants to work at.
