Recently in a wave of tweets, the newly formed Team Infused team which we confirmed back in early January, folded last week. Whilst this may not come to many as a surprise, (well to those who frequent Twittersphere), UKCSGO.com can now confirm that Jamie “redSNK” Littlewood has built a new mix team and will be attending epic.SEVENTEEN after all.
When we announced Team Infused, they were quietly participating in the Minor Qualifiers, and did reasonably well in there but kept on falling off prior to the second day of the tournament. Coupled with results elsewhere in other competitions, Team Infused were really starting to lose pace on the rest of domestic competition, especially with nerdRage & BEASTS doing well throughout the entirety of January.
Thomas “SPUDz” White sent out an obscure tweet and was asked by one of the members of the community, and eventually explained that he had left Team Infused, citing the fact that he “lost motivation” and that he felt the team wasn’t up to the standard he would have liked. Soon after that tweet was sent out, the rumour mill had started circulating, and suddenly the team was completely dead.
We are unsure what this means for all the players that were in Team Infused, but Jamie will have to go back to the drawing board once again and rebuild for the upcoming ESL UK Premiership (which is still yet to be announced) and for insomnia57 in March.
Meanwhile with five tickets secured for the upcoming epic.SEVENTEEN event this weekend in Kettering, Jamie was quick to draft in various players who had missed out on the event when it sold out before Christmas. He has secured the services of long standing UK member Brandon “weber” Weber, fm-eSports player Max “Mightymax” Heath, popular streamer and CAZ eSports player James “Kryptix” Affleck, and former CAZ eSports player Jamie “Keita” Hall. This will leave the event looking like a 3-way heavyweight championship with both Barrage eSports and Team CeX looking to take the title this weekend.
The Old Infused Roster looked like this:
Jamie “redSNK” Littlewood
Craig “REAZN” Brackenridge
Thomas “SPUDz” White
Jake “Boaster” Howlett
Carl “Peggyyyyy” Kneale
The mix (which hasn’t found a name yet) going to epic.SEVENTEEN is as follows:
Jamie “redSNK” Littlewood
Brandon “Weber” Weber
James “Kryptix” Affleck
Jamie “Keita” Hall
Max “Mightymax” Heath
We are still unsure on what Team Infused plan’s are post epic.SEVENTEEN, however when we do have official confirmation, we will report on it. UKCSGO.com will have regular updates throughout the weekend as we look to deliver quality content from Kettering Conference Centre.
